WASHINGTON LOG A LOAD FOR KIDS CALENDAR
The Washington Contract Loggers Association (WCLA) produced a 2002 Log A Load For Kids calendar, with the proceeds above the cost of production donated to Washington’s CMN hospitals. Entitled Kids in the Woods, WCLA’s first-edition calendar featured photographs of children “on the job” dressed in logging apparel. The calendar photographer was Brian Moerke from Chehalis, Washington.
WCLA originally sold the calendars for $12 each. As of this spring, approximately 800 of the original 1,000 had been sold. WCLA researched printing costs to obtain the best deal from a printer. In future years, WCLA will sell calendar page sponsorships to offset the cost of production, and sponsors might have the opportunity to include their company equipment and logo on a given month’s page.
